Fit and Finish Senior Technician
Position Summary
The Fit and Finish Senior Technician is a highly skilled maintenance professional responsible for performing finish-related repairs and aesthetic maintenance to support facility appearance and functionality. This role includes tasks such as gypsum board repair, wall, ceiling, floor painting, masonry and other skilled maintenance activities that do not require a state license or specialized formal education. The position supports site maintenance operations while ensuring compliance with all company procedures, safety standards, and documentation requirements under minimum supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform maintenance and repair activities in accordance with approved maintenance procedures for site facilities under minimum supervision.
2. Execute skilled finish work, including drywall/gypsum board repairs and specialized painting of walls, ceilings, masonry, and floors.
3. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
4. Document all completed work accurately in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
5. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety, permitting, and work authorization processes.
6. Complete and maintain all required training associated with the position.
7. Support overall facility appearance and operational readiness.
Physical Requirements
1. Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
2. Ability to lift and carry materials and tools as required for the role.
Work Environment
1. Industrial and/or manufacturing facility environment.
2. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
3. Boom / Scissor Lift Operator
Required Qualifications
1. Demonstrate minimum 10-year experience in finish-related maintenance activities (e.g., drywall repair, painting, surface finishing, & masonry).
2. Ability to perform skilled tasks with minimal supervision.
3. Working knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools, and materials related to finish work.
4. Ability to follow written procedures and document work accurately.
5. Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Prefered Qualifications
1. Experience working in an industrial, pharmaceutical, or regulated facility environment.
2. Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order documentation.
3. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
