1. Conduct health program in to recognize, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards and diseases. 
2. Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
3. Collaborate with Industrial-Health Engineer and/or Occupational Physician, to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions and equipment.
4. Prepare reports including observations, analysis of contaminants, and recommendations for control and correction of hazards.
5. Participate in educational meetings to instruct employees in matters pertaining to occupational health and prevention of accidents.
6. Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
7. Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
8. Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, or asbestos management plans.
9. Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors, or other potentially toxic materials for analysis.
10. Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.
11. Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
12. Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
13. Evaluate employee exposure to noises and if necessary, control exposure and provide appropriate medical surveillance. 
14. Perform qualitative risk assessment to risk rank exposure group.
15. Any other duties as required by the supervisor to support normal operations at the department

• Master Industrial Hygiene

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipments, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
